    Links

I really like the links that you can do in the program but they don't actually seem to do anything. I have linked each medication to the condition I take it for. If you look at the medication or the condition, you can see the link. But you can't put them on reports or use them to search for things. Was there a purpose for the links? It would be helpful to be able to include the info on reports, so that I don't also have to type in the condition into a field that does go to the report. Search would be good, if I searched on a condition, it could return all the links (medications, visits, doctors, etc associated with it).

Like the program a lot, waiting to see what new things  come down the road

    Hi, Mitch!

There are a few different purposes to the Related Information ("link") feature:
    • It's the mechanism that allows us to attach files to a user's personal health record.  This allows you to place your attachments in the context that most makes sense to you - for instance, you may attach the scanned copy of a co-payment receipt to the expense entry in your registry.
    • Related information also allows users to link to web-hosted sites (URLs).  Using this mechanism you can track your sources of medical research information, for future reference or simply help you link up to favorite sites such as a condition-specific discussion forum.
    • If you have too many attachments and you'd prefer to keep your PHR small, you can also 'link' to files instead of physically copying them to your PHR.
    • Links also allow you to navigate more easily within your PHR, by following the links that you add to your records (follow the 'chain link' icon).
    • Finally, links will allow us to create some really neat reports like the one you suggest!  Smile [:)]  In future releases of HealthFrame - and perhaps as OpenHealth Service (OHS) Plug-ins we plan on distributing reports that take advantage of this powerful feature of the HealthFrame PHR.  We completely agree with you that this type of reporting support would really bring out the power behind the linking mechanism!  In the meantime, however, we should note that you can print the page containing the link information (see attached PDF file).
Thank you for taking the time to send us your thoughts.

We're happy to hear that you like HealthFrame a lot and we look forward to your continued feedback.
