For HealthFrame v3.0.2, the related items of type communication, expense, test, treatment and visit will all be sorted in reverse chronological order (so most recent first).
I experimented with having more complicated sort orders - only sorting by date among those items that were tightly related (like with a particular person) - but I decided that

What I'm seeing is a bit different from your claim. If I'm wrong, please let me know, and provide a screenshot or some other more explicit example.
What I see is that 'relationships' are shown in sorted order - first (primary sort key) is the top level kind of thing they are related to (like Journal, or Treatment or Visit).
And then - within that

Could you kindly provide a screenshot?
Your comments don't make it clear if you are having problems with the expense register page or the medication editing page. I've tried both and not had difficulties.
This could be something specific to your PHR, or something is specific to a particular page.
The other think you could do is try editing one ...

Thank you for your suggestion.
In general - I think its a very good idea, and one we have explored before.
There are a couple of technical challenges, and a couple of business challenges to make this work.
Technical:
> merging in data from different sources without creating duplication, and successfully recognizing object identity (which ...

So I gather you are using HealthFrame v3.0.1
You can verify that by looking at the about box.
I'm unclear if you hare having trouble opening your PHRs, trouble finding them, or once they are opened, trouble seeing things or just trouble making changes.
Perhaps you could share a screen shot of how far you did manage to get. Sometimes a picture ...

I'm afraid I don't understand this *what is the use model for the application that maximizes the functionality you built into it.) question. Perhaps the answer to your question, is that I've focused more on a logical, object centered decomposition of the health/medical information a person would want to track, and less on 'use cases'.
That is not ...

#1 In the HeatlhFrame data model, we call things with measurement results a 'test' - and things done purely for the therapeutic impact a treatment. I realize the world isn't so black and white, but its still helpful in organizing information to draw lines.
So - this would be a TEST in HealthFrame parlance, not a Treatment.
And you can ...

#1 - When adding a new units entry in the Test panel ... remember units
This is a very good idea. I've added http://bugzilla.recordsforliving.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1037 to track this issue. This is slightly more complicated than it may appear on the surface, because if you make a mistake with units, HealthFrame will then continue suggesting this ...

About comment#1/2:
We have created http://bugzilla.recordsforliving.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1034 to track this issue. But this is minor, as I believe it has a simple workaround. Just don't select 'same as ordered' or 'during visit' - but specify the details. The reason you are right this is a bug - is because you might want to also note that it was

Hilarious!
I was just tonight discussing the idea of pre-exporting some encrypted data to a drop-box folder that was in essence, the same data you are descriping, and then doing a simple iPad app wrapping Ajax/HTML that loaded (decrypting) that data.
Thats geek talk for basically what you said (but with a veneer of security, and a bit more ...
