Records For Living does not pre-announce products, however it is fair to say that given our past history of supporting portable devices, such as the iPod, we will likely consider support for some cell phone and PDA platforms.

With the introduction of the HealthFrameWorks server, it is also possible that partnering companies will offer internet-enabled synchronization for HealthFrame users.

Thank you for your interest in HealthFrame,

I too would encourage the development of an iPhone application. I believe there is a business opportunity for your company. There are very few PHR products for the individual user. I did a lot of research prior to the purchase of your product.

There is a real need for electronic PHR information and with the ever increasing popularity of the iPhone, it seems a natural fit. Did you know that there are now almost 1 billion iphone applications?

I would go further and suggest that to not develop such an application will eventually work against HealthFrame as eventually someone will develop this product - why not be ahead of the curve?

Re: Is an iPhone version on the horizon?

We appreciate your advice! Perhaps you would be willing to offer more?

We've been talking internally about building iPhone, and other sorts of mobile versions of HealthFrame for several years. We've been building the infrastructure to support this. But we're still unsure exactly what sort of iPhone (or PDA-based) application would be best.

One of the great strengths of HealthFrame, that sets it well above other PHR products, is its depth of data modeling, and (extensible) reporting. But these things are largely negatives in a small form factor (PDA/iPhone) application.

Things that work best on small devices are small, focused applications.

We understand that people want mobile apps that connect to their Health data (e.g. the data you've captured in HealthFrame). But towards what end? For what purpose?

    More specifically...

o Do you expect a full-featured PHR in an iPhone application?
o What do you see as the crucial features for an iPhone-based PHR application?
o Do you want to ACCESS information from your iPhone, or to ADD / EDIT information from your iPhone?
o If you have limited data access needs, just what kind of information do you want mobile?

We cannot promise anything soon. But with the help of our Community Forum members, perhaps we can find a useful mobile health nitch?

    Thanks,
    Support Team.
