With HealthFrame you have a number of choices for record sharing:
- You can treat HealthFrame files as if they were 'regular' files. In other words, if you were using something like a Microsoft Word document, you could all share the document and make updates and merges. HealthFrame will also recognize merges and you can send your changes to one another. If you use email, please remember to password-protected your encrypted copy of your clinical records.
- You can upload your record using the secure and encrypted Commons eXchange Protocol (CXP) to partner sites like MedCommons.
- You can use an internet-based network drive that you share with your family members. For instance something like Xdrive.
The thing to remember is that you can choose the mechanism you are most comfortable with, from a privacy, convenience and cost point of view. HealthFrame will recognize changes your relatives have made to the PHR and merge them into your copy.
