If you are trying to keep track of refills for an existing prescription, you only need to track the 'expense' associated with each of the refills (please see image below).
If you have multiple different prescriptions for the same medication (typically multiple years), you have the option to document each individual prescription as below OR you can create a single medication entry and track the prescription number per expense (re-fill) entry.
Please note that this assumes that your prescribing doctor does not change or that your dosage remains the same and that other relating information remains the same.
