    Records sharing

I have downloaded the 15 day trial to see if this product is what we need.  I have 6 siblings and parents who are aging that do not all live near each other.  We are looking to create an online journal or report of sorts that allow each of us to know what is going on with Dr. Appt's, medications they are taking, etc. so that if anyone is accompanying them to an appointment, they'll have the info they need.  Is this something that all family members could have access to?

We would appreciate any information you can provide.
    Thank you,

    Sharon

    Re: Records sharing

    Dear Sharon,

Welcome to the HealthFrame User Community Forum!

With HealthFrame you have a number of choices for record sharing:

    1. You can treat HealthFrame files as if they were 'regular' files.  In other words, if you were using something like a Microsoft Word document, you could all share the document and make updates and merges.  HealthFrame will also recognize merges and you can send your changes to one another.  If you use email, please remember to password-protected your encrypted copy of your clinical records.
    2. You can upload your record using the secure and encrypted Commons eXchange Protocol (CXP) to partner sites like MedCommons.
    3. You can use an internet-based network drive that you share with your family members.  For instance something like Xdrive.
The thing to remember is that you can choose the mechanism you are most comfortable with, from a privacy, convenience and cost point of view.  HealthFrame will recognize changes your relatives have made to the PHR and merge them into your copy.

Thanks for your interest in HealthFrame and please let us know if we can be of further help.
